Shafroth Raises $236,760 in Q4

The first of the Q4 (2007) financial reports are beginning to trickle in, and Democrat Will Shafroth continues to show strong numbers in his bid for congress in CO-2.

According to a press release, Shafroth raised $236,760 in Q4, leaving him with more than $520,000 cash on hand. Shafroth still has a considerable hill to climb in terms of name recognition, but if he continues this fundraising pace, he’ll be able to have a good presence on TV this summer.

  1. At the end of his release, Shafroth reports receiving a contribution from a Joan FitzGerald. Is that THE Joan FitzGerald? Press release linked above in main article….

      1. But whoever she is she’s listed in the same VIP-esque category as Pena, Markey, Dukakis, Judith Udall, Tom Romer, and Hannah Wirth. If this isn’t CD-2 Candidate Joan Fitz-Gerald, then that is quite he mislead on behalf of the Shafroth campaign!

        1. Or my humor doesn’t come across very well. We would gladly accept a donation from Joan Fitz-Gerald but alas this contrbiution is from Joan FitzGerald located in Massachusets. Sorry if my humor didn’t translate but it made me smile.

  2. He also lists Michael Dukakis and Betsy Markey. . . why in the world would Betsy give to him? Isn’t she in need of all the money she can get?

Also, is there really someone named Stonewall Jackson?

    1. Evidently not a very smart woman, Betsy. You generally don’t pick favorites in other districts in your state. Now Polis and Fiz-Gerald people will have a reason not to give or support her. WTF?

  3. you can make a solid ad buy with that.

I want to look closely at all 3’s donors to see the number of in district contributors for the year.

    1. It’s just a crime how expensive TV time is these days. Even with all this great fundraising (and I’m extremly impressed), if he does any mail at all he still can only do two moderate weeks of TV. And that’s if he continues this fundraising pace.

Most primaries are settled either off TV or when one of the candidates can go on and others can’t. Neither is the case here. Suspect the three of them are now 1-2-3 in the country in open seat primaries.
